what do you do when you are a stranger to a new place, have little human contact other than your delightful roommate (love you, claire) and a four-legged friend who you forgot couldn't carry on a conversation, and a month of free time? start blogging, of course.
the past few weeks have consisted of getting acquainted with my new city_ aka her mosquitos that have turned my legs into a life-size connect the dots, her torrential mid-afternoon and unexpected downpours, and her historic squares that all look the same with different names. yet despite her few cumbersome characteristics, she is full of majestic qualities_sweet southern magnolias and spanish moss, lowcountry cuisine, sprawling green spaces, ever so chatty locals, and artful details abound.
i hereby devote this collection of all things random and beautiful to my family, friends, and southern hopefuls everywhere.
